An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) assessment evaluates your property’s energy efficiency. A qualified assessor will visit your property and:
- Inspect Key Features: They’ll check insulation, heating systems, windows, doors, lighting, and any renewable energy systems, as well as measure the property’s size.
- Analyze the Data: Using this information, they’ll calculate your property’s current energy efficiency rating (A-G) and its potential rating if improvements are made.
- Provide Recommendations: The EPC report will suggest cost-effective upgrades like better insulation, energy-efficient lighting, or a new boiler, along with estimated costs and savings.
- Once complete, your EPC is registered in a national database and valid for 10 years. The whole process usually takes 30–90 minute, with the certificate lodged by the next working day.
